Alida Weiss, MA MFT, has over 15 years of experience providing counseling services to individuals struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She began her career as a Discreet Trials Training Therapist, focusing on behaviorally based intervention. She received her Master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2005. While she was in her graduate program she gained experience in a variety of organizations, such as community mental health, substance abuse treatment centers, and as a school based counselor. In 2008 she became licensed in the state of California where she opened her own private practice to continue servicing children and families. In 2010 she moved to Seattle with her family. Since moving to Washington, Alida has gained more experience in treating children, teens, as well as adults struggling with trauma. In 2011 she became trained in using Neurofeedback as another tool to help her clients. Her approach in therapy, is to follow a collaborative model, where she draws upon and builds upon the inherent strengths of the client rather than their pathology. She uses a variety of techniques to find what works best for you..
